Manual Handling Training - Lifting a box Overview

ABR Safety’s Manual Handling Training is for employees who undertake any manual handling task as part of their work. It is delivered as an in house course and ensures the employees understand the hazards associated with manual handling and how to reduce the risk of injury.

What is Manual Handling?

Manual handling includes a number of activities, such as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling.

Why Do Manual Handling Training?

Manual handling injuries can have serious implications for the employer and the person who has been injured. They can occur almost anywhere in the workplace and heavy manual labour, awkward postures, repetitive movements of arms, legs and back or previous/existing injury can increase the risk.

Injuries caused by manual handling are the single most common cause of workplace injury and occur across all industries and work environments.

On completion of this course, employees will understand the hazards associated with manual handling and how to reduce the risk of injury.
