Construction Safety
ABR Safety specialises in supporting companies in the construction industry with their project and site safety. We can assist with documentation, site inspections, health and safety accreditations and CDM 2015 compliance.
The construction industry remains one of the most hazardous in the UK.
Significant improvements have been made in recent years in reducing the number of injuries. However, the industry continues to have a fatal injury rate that is around four times the UK national average. This is despite only employing 7% of the UK workforce.
The industry remains a focus of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Approximately 60% of all prohibition notices are issued to construction related businesses.
Recognised construction health and safety accreditation schemes and legislation, such as the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, help support improvements in safe working practices across the industry.
